Bishop Diego’s boys volleyball team was bested at Santa Ynez on Monday 25-20, 25-19, 25-11.
It was the season opener for the Cardinals, who are coming off a playoff season in which they finished third in the Tri-Valley League.
Nic Mon recorded nine kills and six digs in the loss. Troy Skinner collected six digs.
Bishop doesn’t play again until next week.
