CIF brackets were released for the Southern Section’s boys basketball postseason on Sunday.
Santa Barbara is traveling to West Torrance while San Marcos is hosting a first round game as the second-seeded team in Division 3-AA.
First-round games are Wednesday.
The Royals (14-10) host Hawthorne (3-23) in their opening game. Hawthorne is winless in their last 13 games and did not win a game in the Ocean League.
The Dons are competing in the Division 3-AAA playoff of which Damien and Pasadena are the top-two seeds. With a win, Santa Barbara would likely see Pac-7 champion Arroyo Grande in the second round.
Second round games are Friday.
Cate and Bishop Diego both qualified for the Division 5-AA postseason. The Cardinals host a first-round game on Wednesday while the Rams travel to Westside League champ San Gabriel Academy.
Laguna Blanca is an at-large team in Division 5-A and faces fifth-seeded Pacifica Christian in the first round.
