Annie Weis continued to plague opposing defenses and scored two goals to lead the Cate School girls soccer team to a 4-0 win on the road against Thacher.
Jasmin Paz started the scoring by putting away her first goal of the season off a pass from Caitlin Cain. Paz’s goal was the only scoring in the first half.
Just two minutes into the second half, Cate goalie Eliza Giles crushed a punt over the Thacher defense and Weis caught up to the ball and cooly finished the breakaway by getting her first goal of the game.
Fernanda Pett gave Cate firm control of the game by taking a Mabel Sabina pass and stretching the lead to 3-0.
Charlotte Bowles hit Weis who received the pass and hit the back of the net for the second time to seal the Rams victory.
The shutout victory was Cate’s third win in a row and the second Condor League victory of the week.
The Rams will continue their season on Saturday at home against Vasquez.
