Ventura shut down Mansai Conner and pulled away from Dos Pueblos, 53-39, in a Channel League boys basketball game Wednesday night at Tuttle Gym.
Conner, the Chargers’ leading scorer, was held to seven points.
Ventura, meanwhile, got 15 points from Zach Gwin and 10 points, seven rebounds and five assists from Nick Rudolph.
“Ventura played a strong game and we were limited on the offensive end,” said DP coach Joe Zamora.
The Chargers fall to 3-9 and 0-2 in Channel League.Ventura is 12-4, 3-0.
Dos Pueblos plays host to Santa Barbara on Friday.
