Nolan Tisdale is stepping up on the basketball court.
The senior, who quarterbacked the Bishop Diego football team to the CIF semifinals, scored 21 points, and Elias Munoz added 20, leading the Cardinals to a 61-45 win over Grace Brethren in a Frontier League game Wednesday night.
“Nolan scored half his points in transition and had good open looks in the offense and hit them tonight,” said Bishop coach Dean Prophet. “He pumped up his scoring tonight.”
Munoz was nails at the free-throw line, making 9 of 10 in the fourth quarter.
“They fouled him every time he got the ball,” Prophet said.
Reese Moulton played a solid game with seven points, eight rebounds, five assists and four steals.
“He did a good job for us,” Prophet said of Moulton.
