Bishop Diego’s girls basketball team was upended by visiting Santa Clara on Tuesday, falling 50-40 in a Tri-Valley League game.
The Cardinals didn’t do themselves any favors by missing 14-of-26 free throws.
“Some games we’re on, some games we’re off. Tonight we were way off,” said Bishop head coach Jeff Burich.
Greer Shull scored 17 points for Bishop and Madison Ballard-Rozak added 13.
Bishop (7-11) hasn’t been able to win a league game in four tries, something the Cardinals will try to take care of next Tuesday in a league game against Fillmore.
