Cate missed several opportunities to build on one-goal lead in the second half and Dunn capitalized with a tying goal in a 3-3 Condor League draw on a hot afternoon in Los Olivos.
“Cate dominated play in the second half and had a maddening number of opportunities to take the lead,” coach Lisa Holmes said. “Right down to the final whistle we had our chances, but soccer is one of those games where time of possession does not necessarily determine the outcome.”
Annie Weis, Mabel Sabina and Emily Nguyen scored for the Rams.
Dunn scored its second goal on a 40-yard shot that skimmed off the cross bar.
The Earwigs tied the score on a loose ball in the 6-yard box.
