Bishop Diego celebrated having a full roster of healthy players with a 3-0 Frontier League girls soccer win over Fillmore.
“This was the first time since Christmas we had a full entire team,” coach Brent Gonsalves said. “We looked like we did before Christmas, and I’m happy about that. We played very well.”
Erin Linehan got the Cardinals on the board in the 51st minute, finishing a pass from Annalise Morando. Gabby Koepenick scored the second goal seven minutes later and Elisa Bernardi tallied the third goal.
Kim Ruiz recorded the shutout in goal.
“We didn’t give up very many chances and we attacked throughout the game,” said Gonsalves.
