Carpinteria’s girls soccer team earned three points on Tuesday with a 4-0 defeat of Fillmore in a Frontier League game.
Giselle Estrada gave the Warriors a 1-0 lead in the 8th minute. Then Lesly Zapata found the back of the net twice before halftime to make it 3-0 at the break.
Senior Anayeli Pena topped off Carpinteria’s victory with her first goal of the season in the second half.
Senior Kelsey Drain anchored a strong defensive effort as the Warriors’ backline allowed very few dangerous moments for Fillmore.
The Warriors, who travel to play Bishop Diego on Thursday, are undefeated in league play at 3-0-2.
