Three new members of the Santa Barbara Foresters Hall of Fame will be honored at a dinner this Friday night that also serves as a fundraising event for UCSB’s Caesar Uyesaka Stadium and Hugs for Cubs.
The Banquet, which features guest speaker Clint Hurdle, begins at 5:30 p.m. at Earl Warren Showgrounds. Tickets are $75 or $25 for youths under 14. To attend, visit SBForesters.org or call (805) 684-0657. The $75 includes dinner, wine and beer, soft drinks, dessert, and a chance “to rub elbows with some of baseball’s greatest players.”
Former UCSB Gauchos and current MLB players Michael Young, Ryan Spilborghs, and Skip Schumaker will be in attendance.
The three new Hall of Fame members are Morgan Ensberg, Sean Luft, and Chris Messier.
Hurdle led the Colorado Rockies to the World Series in 2007 and is currently the manager of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
A silent and live auction will be held to help raise money to support our local baseball programs and facilities.
