Freshman Matthew Eaton scored a career-high 26 points and Nathan Dutcher added 18 to power the Providence Hall boys basketball team to a 71-49 win over Midland at Carpinteria High.
The win snapped a four-game losing streak for the Lions.
Providence Hall blew the game open in the third quarter when it outscored Midland 21-9.
“What I was most proud of was we took four charges,” Providence Hall coach Keith Luberto said. “I’m really proud of the guys.”
The Lions improved to 6-7. They need to win half of their games to petition for a CIF playoff spot.
