It was a rough night for the Santa Barbara High girls basketball team at Buena as the Dons committed 28 turnovers and lost 58-31 in a Channel League game.
“Their half-court defense really hurt us,” Santa Barbara coach Andy Butcher said. “We made lots of poor decsions.”
Ivette Gil scored 10 points to lead the Dons (13-10, 1-4).
Despite the league record, the Dons still have a shot to finish third in league if it can beat San Marcos and Dos Pueblos.
“That’s our goal,” Butcher said. “We have a chance to do some good things. It just didn’t happen tonight.”
