Dos Pueblos was stopped for a second time in a Channel League game by Ventura, which remains unbeaten in league after a 50-43 decision over the Chargers on Monday.
The Chargers led at halftime but the Cougars came back in the third quarter and never trailed in the fourth quarter.
“They got too many offensive rebounds and a couple of crucial turnovers cost us,” said Chargers head coach Jelani Hicks.
Kristen Gowdy led Dos Pueblos’ effort with 16 points and nine rebounds. Chiara DiMarco added 11 points and Jasmine Mata nine for the Chargers, who don’t play again until next next Monday.
While Ventura improves to 6-0 in the Channel League, DP falls to 3-3 with Santa Barbara and Buena left on the regular-season schedule.
