Everything clicked for the Dos Pueblos boys basketball team Friday night and the result was an 84-53 rout of Buena in a Channel League game at Sovine Gym.
The Chargers pounded the boards and Mansai Conner was a force, scoring 16 points and grabbing eight rebounds. Four players scored in double figures. Chris Williams tallied 14 points, Alec Rishwain had 12 points off the bench and Cruz Martens added 11.
“It was a good team victory,” DP coach Joe Zamora said. “Everyone competed and contributed to our victory. We had a season high 20 assists.”
Dos Pueblos (7-13, 3-5) had lost four straight coming into the game. The Chargers came out flying and built and big lead early against the last-place Bulldogs.
Next up for DP is a crosstown game against San Marcos on Tuesday.
