Santa Clara outscored Bishop Diego 9-1 to end the second quarter, and the Saints stayed hot in the third quarter and beat the Cardinals 46-40 in a Tri-Valley League girls basketball game on Tuesday.
“They made some incredible shots,” Bishop coach Jeff Burich said of the Saints. They had one girl who made all her 11 points in the second half.”
Jose McCoy scored 15 points and Greer Shull added 13 for Bishop (8-15, 1-8)
