Todd Heil recently learned he was selected by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America as a national Regional Coach of the Year for the second straight year.
Heil led Santa Barbara High School’s boys soccer team to its first CIF SoCal Regional title in Division II, which capped a season in which the Dons returned to the Southern Section Division-I title game for the second straight season.
Heil is currently in his 13th year as head coach of the Dons program.
Heil took the time on Monday to recall his favorite memories from last season while also touching on a variety of topics that include the Santa Barbara High tradition behind “Nosotros”.
Congratulations to Todd for bringing another Regional Coach of the Year award to Santa Barbara. Stay tuned to see if he is awarded the National Coach of the Year award at the end-of-the-year NSCAA Banquet in January in Kansas City.
