Rachel Smith scored once and helped create two other goals for Dos Pueblos’ girls soccer team on Wednesday, as the Chargers defeated Santa Ynez 3-1.
Smith’s goal was a quick strike soon after the opening kickoff. Within 30 minutes, Brandie Harris and Rosalba Barbosa had scored for Dos Pueblos on assists from Smith.
Dos Pueblos evens its record at 1-1 after dropping the opener 2-1 at Westlake. The Chargers play thier first home game on Friday when they host Newbury Park at 5 p.m.
