Dos Pueblos came away from Righetti with a 2-1 setback on Monday, as Michael Sazani’s second-half goal only cut the lead in half.
Sazani found the back of the net in the 75th minute with Righetti holding a 2-0 lead since the 63rd minute.
“My goalie had a fantastic night,” said Chargers head coach Matt York of junior Nick Van Hoorn. “It was definitely his most aggressive and passionate game he’s played.”
Monday was the first of three games this week for Dos Pueblos. DP is back on the pitch for a matchup with Pacifica on Wednesday followed by a home game on Friday.
