San Marcos’ girls basketball team dropped a game at the Fillmore Tournament to Santa Paula on Friday, falling 55-36.
“It’s all about taking care of the ball and we didn’t do a good job of that,” said Royals head coach Devin Uyesaka. “Once they experience , we’ll make the adjustments.”
After scoring 15 points in her first game, sophomore Hope Morrison rebounded from a scoreless game the day before to tally 12 points. Emily Dietz recorded a team-high 13 points.
The Royals (1-2) play in the seventh-place game in Fillmore on Saturday at 2 p.m.
