Dos Pueblos’ boys basketball team let Righetti slip away in the second half on Wednesday, as the Warriors turned a four-point halftime lead into a 60-40 non-league victory.
Righetti, which is off to a 4-0 start to the season, was led by two players with 15 points – Ryan McGready and Hunter Walker.
Dos Pueblos’ Cruz Mertens scored 14 for the Chargers.
DP trailed 28-24 after two quarters. In the third, the Warriors outscored the Chargers 22-10 to take control.
Dos Pueblos (2-3) opens its Channel League season in its next contest. The Chargers host San Marcos next Wednesday at 7 p.m.
