The Santa Barbara High boys soccer team spent a lot of time around Moorpark’s goal, but were unable to put one in the back of the net and tied 0-0.
The Dons outshot Moorpark 12-2 on the day.
Playing in bitter cold weather in Moorpark did not keep attacking center midfielder Tanner Wolf from heating up. Wolf was able to constantly get himself and his teammates into scoring positions, but Moorpark’s goalkeeper came up with big saves several times throughout the match.
“We possessed most of the game,” Santa Barbara head coach Todd Heil said. “Their goalkeeper had a tremendous game. He had some great one-on-one saves.”
The Dons (3-1-2) will continue their season on Saturday at home in their annual showdown with St. Francis.
