The Laguna Blanca boys basketball team went back-and-forth with Thacher who scraped by with a 73-63 double-overtime victory.
Logan Elder led the Owls with 18 points and Brandon Bickett also had an excellent offensive outing with 17 points.
For Thacher, Evan Farese came off the bench and scored 26 points, inlcuding a three-pointer to send the game into overtime.
Laguna Blanca was severely undermanned for the overtimes as Troy Ritter had left the game due to injury, and Elder and Bickett both fouled out.
Poor free-throw shooting also hurt the Owls as they hits just 17 of 37 shots from the foul line.
Laguna Blanca (4-2) will break for the holidays and continue its season at home against Cate on January 7.
