Providence Hall’s boys basketball team experienced its first game of the season that wasn’t decided in the final minute on Saturday, with the Lions enjoying a 70-30 victory at Coastal Christian.
Twenty-two steals got the job done for Providence Hall, which limited Coastal Christian to 17 points in the final three quarters.
Three Lions scored in double figures, led by Matthew Eaton’s 19 points. Erik Sheets added 15 and Nathan Dutcher 11. The trio collected 16 steals as a group. Preston Towers contributed a team-high 12 rebounds.
Providence Hall (3-3) plays again on Saturday against Ventura County Christian. It’s the first home game for the Lions, who play at Westmont at 10:30 a.m.
