Dos Pueblos’ girls basketball team completed a three-game sweep at the Bryan Ayers Tournament in Lompoc on Saturday, as the Chargers defeated Lompoc 68-27.
Dos Pueblos and Santa Barbara High both matched each other’s 3-0 record at the tournament but the Chargers were awarded the title because they allowed fewer points.
Kristen Gowdy was named Tournament MVP and Chiara DiMarco was All-Tournament. Gowdy posted totals of 15 points, seven rebounds and four steals in Saturday’s game. DiMarco contributed 21 points and four steals. Gowdy had 23 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, and three steals in a game against Villanova.
Dos Pueblos (3-0) face Righetti in its next game on Monday.
