The Dos Pueblos High school girls soccer team defeated Newbury Park 2-0 behind a breakout performance from freshman forward Natalie Klapp.
Klapp scored two second half goals which were both assisted by senior striker Brandie Harris to give the Chargers their second win in as many games.
The goals came in the 55th and 59th minutes.
“Little by little, we’ve been getting better,” head coach Jose Guerrero said.
Junior center back Jamie Benedetto led the defense to a shutout to complete an impressive performance by Dos Pueblos.
The Chargers (2-1) will continue their season against Righetti at home on Monday.
Natalie Klapp is the correct spelling but no worries, it happens all the time!
