The Spartans AYSO team has qualified for Sectionals in Bakersfield in February.
The Spartans, an under-12 boys AYSO soccer team, recently completed a stellar 2011 season. After winning the U12B AYSO season-ending mini tournament in Santa Barbara, they went undefeated in Area 10W pool play in Camarillo en route to a second place finish in the Area 10W U12B playoffs.
The Spartans now advance to Sectionals in Bakersfield on Feb. 25-26.
The team members are Michael Brown-Fiedtkou, Kyle Cekada, Samuel Chase, John Herrera, Samuel McGolpin, Nicholas Meaney, Isaia Morones, Keegan Noronha, Noah Ostonavy, Keiran Spence, and Daniel Willett.
The team is coached by Scott Terry, Joe Strong, Austin Schwartz, Justin Choi and Jon Li. All five coaches are seniors at Dos Pueblos High School.
