Santa Barbara suffered its first loss of the young soccer season, falling 1-0 to Knight in the semifinals of the Palmdale Tournament on Saturday.
Knight scored in the eighth minute and held off the Dons.
“We were never able to unfortunately get the equalizer,” said coach Todd Heil.
Santa Barbara blanked Westlake 2-0 in the quarters. Alec Larson scored in the 18th minute and Sachio Badham added the second goal five minutes later. Alex Navarro got the assist.
The Dons (3-1-1) go back on the road Tuesday at Moorpark.
