Dos Pueblos’ boys basketball team wrapped up four days of games at the Simi Valley Tournament with a victory on Saturday, bringing down Camarillo 75-70 in the fifth place game.
Cruz Mertens paved the way for the Chargers with a season-high 23 points. Chris Williams added 13 and Mansai Conner for Dos Pueblos (2-2).
Camarillo held a 38-36 lead at halftime but Dos Pueblos used a strong third quarter to propel it to the win. The Chargers outscored the Scorpions 18-11 in the period to take a 54-49 lead and never trailed again.
Dos Pueblos moves on to play Righetti in its next game on Wednesday.
