The Dos Pueblos boys soccer team played a tough first half at Oxnard, but was unable to maintain its level of play after the midway point and lost 3-0.
Both defences kept the ball out of the back of the net in the first 40 minutes, but Oxnard struck quickly once the second half began and got a goal in the 44th minute.
Dos Pueblos could not put together an attack to get an equalizer, and Oxnard extended its lead in the 66th minute.
Down two goals, the Chargers substituted an attacking player for a defender, opening up space for Oxnard to score its third and final goal in the 89th minute.
Dos Pueblos will continue its season on Friday at 3:15 at Hueneme.
