Carpinteria’s boys soccer team suffered a 2-1 setback to Channel Islands on Friday, which evens the Warriors’ record at 2-2 on the season.
The Raiders grabbed a 1-0 lead in the first half and held their advantage until the first minute of the second half when Luca Rigonati equalized for Carpinteria.
An own goal in the 67th minute gave Channel Islands the lead back, but Warriors head coach Daniel Torres thought it a good performance afterall.
“We played our best half of the year against a really good team,” Torres said.
The Warriors travel to Catalina Island on Saturday for a match with Avalon.
