Dos Pueblos’ boys soccer team went down in defeat without scoring a goal for the second straight game on Friday, falling to Arroyo Grande 1-0 in Scott O’Leary Stadium.
After a 4-0 shutout on Wednesday, the Chargers failed to score again on Friday and were outscored 7-1 in three losses this week.
“We haven’t had much good offense in a while,” said Chargers head coach Matt York. “Most of game was played in the middle, there weren’t a lot of shots from either side.”
Arroyo Grande got what it needed in the 31st minute to gain a 1-0 advantage.
York did see good things from senior Scott Terry.
“(He) played all up and down the field for us. He was our most physical force out there,” York said.
Dos Pueblos can get back in the win column on Monday with a game against Rio Mesa.
