Santa Paula’s Taylor Alvarado scored four goals against Santa Barbara’s girls soccer team on Thursday, taking the Cardinals to a 5-2 result.
Alvarado took the corner kick that led to Santa Paula’s other goal.
For the Dons, Jackie Lopez scored in the first half but the Cardinals led 3-1 at the intermission. Just after the start of the second half, Meagan Flynn brought the Dons to 3-2 when she cleaned up a deflection off the crossbar on a shot from Katie Joseff.
Halfway through the second half, Alvarado scored to put Santa Paula back up by two.
The Dons (3-2-1) play next week on Tuesday and Thursday.
