SBCC’s Emily Banas, Mariah Mathews and Heidi Van Den Oever have been selected to the first-team All-WSC North women’s volleyball squad.
Banas, a freshman from San Pedro, is 10th in the conference in kills and leads the Vaqueros with 27 aces. Van Den Oever is No. 8 in hitting percentage (.323) and Mathews is No. 6 in assists. Van Den Oever and Mathews are sophomores.
Bianca Castro and Rachel Stehley were second-team choices. Erika Bellitt and Katie Dolan made honorable mention.
The Vaqueros went 10-2 and finished second in the WSC North.
