SBCC's Jessica Domenichelli
Jessica Domenichelli has been named California Community College Athlete of the Month for October.
The sophomore forward poured in 17 goals with four assists last month, leading the SBCC women’s soccer team to a 6-2 record. She ended the month with four straight hat tricks, including a five-goal, one-assist performance vs. Hancock on Oct. 25. Last Friday, she broke her own school record with her 26th goal in a 3-0 win over Moorpark.
She’s also the Vaquero career record-holder with 51 goals in two years. Domenichelli is No. 2 on the state scoring chart with 62 points (26 goals, 10 assists).
The Vaqueros, ranked No. 3 in the state, are in first place in the WSC North with records of 10-1 and 15-2. They travel to West L.A. on Friday afternoon and a victory would secure the first WSC women’s soccer title in school history.
