Jessica Domenichelli broke her own school record for goals in a season Friday night, leading SBCC to a 3-0 women’s soccer victory over Moorpark at La Playa Stadium.
Domenichelli had a goal and two assists in the regular-season home finale. SBCC is 7-1 at home this year and 17-2-1 in their last 20 home matches.
She popped in a header in the 61st minute after a long run and looping cross by Katie Voss. It was her record-setting 26th goal of the year. She’s also has the career record with 51.
Domenichelli is the top scorer in California with 26 goals and 62 points. She’s scored in six straight games and has 16 goals during that span.
The Vaqueros, ranked No. 1 in Southern Cal and No. 5 in the state, improved to 15-2 and 10-1 in the WSC. They’re tied atop the conference with one game remaining on Friday at West L.A.
Voss made it 2-0 in the 67th minute on an assist from Domenichelli. In the 80th minute, Morgan Crumpley scored from close range on a pass from Domenichelli.
“Jess played tremendously and Ali Raack was very good in the midfield,” said coach John Sisterson.
