The Dos Pueblos girls volleyball team won the Channel League title after defeating Buena is straight sets.
The scores in the games were 25-12, 25-22, and 25-19.
“It is an emotional night,” head coach Todd Garrett said. “I know it isn’t over but I will miss these girls very much. I am so very proud of the type of people they have turned out to be.”
Taylor Racich led the team with 12 kills, while Amanda Moriarty added nine more. Katie Spieler was the defensive leader with 18 digs.
The Chargers won a CIF Division I Championship in 2009, and won the Channel League Championship in 2010, going undefeated in league play, making this their third-straight league title.
This season, the team’s only loss was to Buena. After avenging the loss, Dos Pueblos (31-7 overall, 7-1 league) will enter the playoffs as the Channel League’s top seed.
