Cameron Riley made seven saves and San Diego Christian scored two second-half goals to defeat Westmont 2-1 in a GSAC men’s soccer match on Saturday at Thorrington Field.
It was San Diego Christian’s first conference win.
After a scoreless first half, Westmont took a 1-0 lead on an unassisted goal by Zach George in the 55th minute.
But San Diego Christian responded with goals in the 56th and 83rd minutes. Brent Oglesby tied the match, scoring on a rebound of a shot off Westmont goalkeeper Matthew McNab.
Victor Flores scored the game-winner, dribbling into the box and scoring from 11 yards out.
Westmont falls to 1-3-1 in the GSAC and 2-8-1 overall. San Diego Christian is 3-8-1, 1-4.
