It didn’t take long for former SBCC volleyball star Kelsey Soos to make an impact at the College of Idaho.
Soos, the 2010 WSC North MVP on the Vaqueros’ conference championship squad, has been named Setter of the Week in the Cascade Conference for six straight weeks. It’s the first time any College of Idaho athlete has won the conference award more than five times in a row.
The Coyotes are 13-1 and ranked No. 7 in the NAIA. They’re first in the conference at 9-0.
Soos, a junior from Santa Ynez High, helped COI to big wins over Eastern Oregon and Westminster last week, recording 50 assists in the first-place showdown with EOC and 41 vs. Westminster. She leads the conference in assists per set (11.04) and is second on the team in aces (15).
