The San Marcos High school girls volleyball team played several close sets at the Royal Tournament, but was only able to close out one, and ended up third in their pool.
The score during pool play were as follows:
Stockdale 21-25, 16-25
La Reina 16-25, 17-25
Simi Valley 25-22, 23-25, 15-12
The results placed San Marcos into the silver bracket against Granada and they lost 21-25 and 23-25.
“As a team our ball control and passing showed improvement through out the day,” head coach Erica Menzel-Downing said about her team’s tournament performance.
San Marcos continues Channel League play at Buena on Tuesday.
