Melissa Jewkes shot a 46 to lead San Marcos in a 244-269 loss to Ventura in a Channel League match at San Buenaventura Golf Course.
Glenda Marshall of Ventura shot a 42 to earn medalist honors.
“The girls played well today on a short course, where chipping and putting is key,” San Marcos coach Shawn Ricci said. “Our goal was to get three girls in the 40’s and we came up a few strokes shy of that goal.”
