Cate roared back from a 2-set deficit and beat Thacher in a Condor League girls volleyball match on Wednesday.
The set scores were 19-25, 13-25, 25-20, 25-21, 15-11.
“Overall, it was a pretty good turning point for our team because we’ve been struggling,” Cate coach Greg Novak said. “They turned it on tonight, especially in the middle.”
Tamsyn Walker had a big night hitting in the middle, recording 12 kills.
“She’s gone from hitting twos a month ago to running plays and making points for us,” said Novak.
Cydney Pierce led a balanced Cate attack with 14 kills and Emma Birrell added 11. Ellen Lemtres was clutch at the service line with six aces.
The Rams (2-5, 2-1 Condor League) play host to Dunn on Saturday.
