The Providence Hall girls volleyball team defeated Hillcrest Christian in three sets after traveling to Thousand Oaks, and is one win away from ensuring eligibility for the postseason.
The scores for the sets were 25-15, 25-22, and 25-18.
Olivia Johnson and Faith Emerson were active offensively and each finished with eight kills. The two athletes also served aggressively, and Johnson had four aces while Emerson had three.
Dakota Niessen fueled the offense with nine assists.
Providence Hall improved to 9-6 on the season and because they are not affiliated with a league, must finish the season with a winning percentage above .500 to be eligible for the playoffs. With only three games remaining in the season, a single victory is all the team needs.
The next match for the team is Saturday against Rancho Christian at Westmont College.
