The Providence Hall girls volleyball play their best match of the season according to coach Laura Trudelle, and defeated Orcutt Academy away in three sets.
The scores in the match were 26-24 25-23, and 25-16.
“The girls were hitting harder and serving tougher than I’d ever seen them serve or hit,” Trudelle said.
Olivia Johnson led the team with 10 kills. Lacy Gonzalez had an excellent all around performance with five kills, seven assists, and four aces. Olivia Barroca also had five kills, and contributed to Providence Hall’s aggressive serving with six aces.
Freshman Willow Brown stepped in during the third set and was instrumental in closing out the game with excellent digging and hitting. Brown was the server on the match’s final two points.
Providence Hall (5-4) plays next at Thatcher on Wednesday.
