The Dos Pueblos doubles team of Sophia Rasmussen and Christina Daniel rallied from a 3-5 deficit and pulled out a 7-5 win in the third round to secure a 10-8 victory over San Marcos in a Channel League girls tennis match on Tuesday.
This was a tighter match than the first meeting, a 14-4 DP win.
“We had our chances today,” San Marcos coach Alex Sheldon said. “Our girls prepared so well for this match. We are disappointed we didn’t win, but we can’t be disappointed about how much we have improved since out first match with DP.”
Dos Pueblos improved to 4-1 in league play and 8-4 overall. San Marcos is 4-5 and 2-3.
