There were no upperclassmen playing on the doubles teams for the Santa Barbara High girls tennis team, but the freshman and sophomores showed maturity in their games as they swept Dos Pueblos on the way to a 14-4 victory on the road.
“I’m very pleased with the quality of tennis Santa Barbara played today because Dos Pueblos is a very good team,” Dons head coach Steve Geremia said.
Santa Barbara jumped out to an early lead and led 10-2 after the first two rounds, mathematically insuring a victory.
Lauren Stratman swept her three sets for DP to remain undefeated in Channel League play.
