Santa Barbara tuned up for its Wednesday showdown with Dos Pueblos by beating Simi Valley in a non-league girls golf match at Montecito Country Club.
Playing on the par-37 back nine, the Dons fired 260 to Simi’s 281. Isabella Doub edged teammate Saralisa Ortega for medalist honors, 43 to 44. Alissa Crane shot her lowest round Montecito with a 52, Claudia Fanaro shot 55 and Caitlyn Morton fired a 66.
The Dons play host to DP at Montecito. They need a win to tie for first place in the league standings.
