SBCC sophomore Nicole Bullemer shot 78 for the second straight day on Monday and placed ninth in the North-South Invitational women’s golf tournament, hosted by SBCC at Morro Bay GC.
Bullemer, a former Dos Pueblos High star, totaled 156. Teammate Kristin Discipulo was 16th at 160 with rounds of 81 and 79. Kristen Grimes of Canyons was the medalist in the 81-player field at 147 (69-78).
Canyons edged Palomar by two shots, 621-623. Glendale was third at 634 and SBCC shot 662 to place eighth out of 14 teams.
“It was a little disappointing because we played so well in our last conference tournament,” said Vaquero coach Chuck Melendez. “We couldn’t find our ‘A game.’ Nicole did a lot of good things out there and so did Kristin.
“We need to work on our consistency.”
SBCC returns to action on Monday in WSC No. 5 at Tierra Rejada GC in Moorpark.
