SBCC’s Nicole Bullemer shot a season-best 74 on Monday to take second place in WSC women’s golf meet No. 7 at Twin Oaks GC in San Marcos.
Bullemer, a sophomore from Dos Pueblos High, finished at 2-over-par to place fourth in a field of more than 50 players in the Comet Classic.
The event, which featured conference meets for the WSC and Pacific Coast Conference, was a preview of the Southern Cal Regional, which will be held at Twin Oaks on Nov. 7-8.
“We struggled today, except for Nicole,“ said SBCC coach Chuck Melendez. “The cream of the crop was at this tournament. We got a good scouting report for the Regional.”
The Vaqueros will complete conference play in the WSC Finals (meets No. 8 and 9) on Sunday and Monday at Olivas Park in Ventura.
