Hanna Brand and Talia Van Wingerden were brought off the bench at home against Nordhoff, and played pivotal roles in Bishop Diego’s Tri-Valley League volleyball win.
The scores in the sets were 22-25, 25-12, 25-22, and 25-20.
Brand was called to start at middle in place of an injured player, and had four kills in the match.
After Bishop Diego dropped the first set, Van Wingerden was put into the game and provided an immediate spark with three straight kills. The Cardinals won the set by a large margin, and the momentum carried them all the through to a victory.
Bishop Diego (4-3 overall, 3-2 league) continues its season at home against St. Bonaventure on Thursday.
