Bishop Diego couldn’t get its attack going on all cylinders and dropped a 25-19, 25-21, 25-16 decision at Oak Park on Tuesday in a Tri-Valley League girls volleyball match.
“I thought we had a good game plan going in,” Bishop coach Jason Donnelly said. “Our middles — Emily Lash and Hanna Brand — did a good job. Unfortunately, we didn’t take care of the ball to compete. It’s unfortunate, but it’s a reality. We got to go back into the gym and work it out.”
Donnelly noted the team made critical serving errors during key moments in the match.
“We didn’t respond,” he said.
But he remained positive.
“We’re still sitting in third place, and we’ll be better in the next couple of weeks than last night.”
The Cardinals (5-3 in the TVL) host league-leading Oaks Christian on Thursday.
